I was hesitant because of the cost but worth the money . My daughter loves to play with it and it’s light so she can pick it up and hold it over her or lay on it and the black and white pictures are interesting to her. Most off all it’s safe, no risk of cracks or broken mirror, edges are safe and large sizedMy baby loves this book! It's lightweight so she won't hurt herself when she inevitably drops it on her face. The colors are bold and capture her attention for many minutes. And she absolutely adores the crinkly sound that drives us parents nuts. My four month old gives it 5 stars.This mobile has been perfect for my newborn. I didn’t want anything too overstimulating for her crib, also wanted something that was versatile for her growth.Around 5-6 weeks I noticed her really excited about the shapes- especially the one with the baby face:). I’m about to switch to the color contrasts cards since I can tell her vision is improving- she is now 10 weeks.Only complaint is that its easy to knock the cards off- but it really hasn’t been much of an issue.Our baby has had these soft blocks since she was born and they continue to entertain her even now as a 10 month old. These are great because of the high contrast colors and the plush texture is easy to hold.It comes with a built in clamp which is very useful, but it can be knocked over very easily. Some of the plastic discs seem to fall out of place while other ones never need to be adjusted. That being said, my newborn is totally hypnotized by it, and it more or less clamps onto the UPPAbaby bassinet stand.This is still a great toy regardless of it lacking sturdiness.The two arms which hold all the cards do not interlock. One is supposed to slide inside the other to make an X. If you look on the product box(see picture), the loop is designed differently than the product you received. I would have returned it but my large crib rail doesn’t fit most mobiles and finding a black and white “developemental” mobile is hard without making it yourself.Here is what you do to fix the problem: cut one of the two nubs on the bottom arm (the part that makes the X) down just a little with scissors (see photos). Then take the side with the shorter nub that you just cut and pass it through the oval hole of the top arm. This way the bottom arm fits through to make the X but still has the nubs to keep it from sliding out of balance. A pretty easy fix, just be careful to not cut the whole thing when cutting down the nub. You could probably use a file to get the same result.The last included photo is baby’s view when laying below the mobile. I’ve used the 0-2month cards. He really loves it! I like how they give you instructions about which cards are best for each age range.To make the mobile spin you can untie the black string from the X and attach a mobile sound box that turns. This may take some reinforcement as the string feels rather thin to hold that weight.A great mobile, providing excellent stimulation and entertainment for baby.Miroir d’un côté, dessins en noir et blanc de l’autre. MerciThis is a good product for rear-facing seats from when your baby is a few weeks old and starting to recognise patterns and faces. It kept my baby amused on car journeys during his first few months. However, now he's almost a year old, I think I'll need to take it down as he pushes the cards out with his foot!Another frustrating thing is the way the pictures are arranged. Pictures from the same developmental stage are often on both sides of the same card (e.g. both +2 months), which makes updating the whole selection to a new stage difficult.I had one of these when my first son was an infant, but in size years that's gone walkies, so I decided to purchase a second one for my baby, who is rear-facing in the car and starting to stay awake for slightly longer periods when travelling.The design has improved since my first buy, with the range of pictures increasing, and a useful pointer on each as to the age range suitability, so you can swap them for appropriate images regularly.Easy to attach to a car, simple to swap over the cards which are double-sided. Would of course like more images for the money as this isn't a cheap buy. It will be well used for several months on a daily basis, so more picture cards would be the one way to improve this, or even blank ones to stick my own onto.My baby son adores his crinkle. Clearly a rather substantial disparity between manufacturing cost and retail price, but for the amount of joy it’s bringing him I have no complaints at all. Charming design and very, very crinkly!I bought this because of the fact that the whole toy makes that crunchy noise and my daughter loves that. It is very soft material and cute, but sadly it took about three weeks for the foil or whatever is inside making the noise breaking free from the seams on the side and not while it still makes the noise, you can feel it floating around crunched between the two layers of the fabric, so pretty disappointed. She is only 4,5 monhs old, and was only chewing on it with her bare gums so not like she could apply too much force and did not play with it all the time maybe once a day. I did not expect it to last forever but hoped for more than a few weeks.
